Meet the members who run the San Andreas Highway Patrol on a daily basis. Each member of our Chain of Command was carefully selected by members of the San Andreas Highway Patrol Command Staff, after undergoing a rigorous selection process. These members play a valuable role to the San Andreas Highway Patrol, by maintaining & updating department policies & procedures, managing the Field Training Officer program, operating the administration division, handling supervisor requests throughout the State of San Andreas, and much more. DUTIES:
The Commissioner of the San Andreas Highway Patrol is the head of the entire department. The Commissioner oversees all bureau's & divisions of the department by working together with the Patrol & Administrative Commanders as well as the Patrol & Administrative Majors.
In addition to heading the aforementioned bureau's & divisions, the Commissioner’s day-to-day duties include:
Overseeing the operation of the entire department
Communicating with external departments to resolve interdepartmental affairs
Managing the department’s fleet of patrol vehicles, including new acquisitions
Overseeing the Patrol & Administrative Commanders & Majors
Is a Liaison to the Development Department
The Commissioner is also the head of the Chain of Command and will have the final say in all departmental matters/disputes.
DUTIES:
The Deputy Commissioner of the Highway Patrol is the second-highest ranking individual in the department. He/she is the Commissioner's assistant when it comes to department matters and serves as Interim Commissioner in his/her absence. The Deputy Commissioner is also a member of several Bureau's & Divisions and carries out the following duties:
The Deputy Commissioner’s day-to-day duties include:
Overseeing the operation of the entire department together with the Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner
Communicating with external departments to resolve interdepartmental affairs
Overseeing the Patrol & Administrative Commanders & Majors
Hold Meetings with Commanders, Majors & Senior Staff to make sure that Bureau's are being run correctly and up to the departments standards.
Indirectly oversees the Corporal Selection Program
Is a Liaison to the Development Department
Because the Deputy Commissioner will serve as interim Commissioner in his/her absence. When assigned as interim he/she will have the final say in all departmental matters/disputes.
DUTIES:
The Assistant Commissioner of the Highway Patrol is the third ranking individual in the department. He/she is the Commissioner's & Deputy Commissioner's Assistant when it comes to department matters and serves as Interim Deputy Commissioner in his/her absence. The Assistant Commissioner is also a member of several Bureau's & Divisions and carries out the following duties:
the Assistant Commissioner’s day-to-day duties include:
Oversees the San Andreas Highway Patrol Field Training Division
Communicating with external departments to resolve interdepartmental affairs
Overseeing the Administrative & Patrol Major
Overseeing the Administrative & Patrol Captain's & Lieutenants
Oversees the Chain of Command by communicating and working with Adminstrative Commanders, Majors, Captain's & Lieutenants
The Assistant Commissioner will act as the Chief of Staff and will make recommendations to the Commissioner on actions regarding the Chain of Command. This can be recommendations for the Corporal Selection Program, Removal of Personnel or other actions that require approval from the Commissioner.

The Major of the Patrol Bureau is charged with overseeing the departments daily patrol functions. The Patrol Operations Bureau Major oversees SAHP patrol operations including High Speed Interception, Air Support, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement and DUI Enforcement. SAHP presently has two Captains which oversee their perspective zones.

The Administrative Bureau is charged with leading the administration functions of the department. The Captain of the Field Training Division, ensures that recruits are being trained according to department policy and standards. Professional Standards ensures the continuous oversight of department standards

The SAHP Captain's of Operations are responsible for commanding their perspective troops. In addition, the Captain of Operations helps to manage SAHP Troops and directly supervises Lieutenants.

The SAHP Captain's of Operations are responsible for working with the other patrol supervisors (Major and Commander) and are considered the Field Training Program’s FTO Director & Deputy Director. In addition, the Captain of Operations helps to manage SAHP Troops and directly supervises the Lieutenant(s) of Operations.

The SAHP Lieutenant of the Public Relations Office is responsible for commanding the San Andreas Highway Patrol public relations office, Bringing out community press releases, prepare and gather materials for social media use such as:
Creating Video's for promotional purposes
Taking Photo's for promotional purposes
The PRO Lieutenant will be present for press briefings, community engagement events and social media related meetings.

The SAHP's Lieutenants of Sub-Division Operations are responsible for running the department's 3 main sub-divisions as decided by the Highway Patrol Commissioner, Which at this time includes:

Specialized Enforcement Bureau
Each Lieuteant Respectfully will run one of these sub-divisions are commanded by the Office of the Highway Patrol Commissioner and shall upkeep its operations & public relations towards the rest of the department. They shall work closely together with the Field Training Division and its respective captain as well as the Lieutenant of the Public Relations Office.
